In 1996 she obtained a Ph.D. degree at Politecnico di Milano with a thesis entitled “Methods of theoretical and experimental analysis of the energetic behavior of 3-phase systems in the presence of distortions, imbalances and asymmetries.” From February 1997 to January 1999 she worked at Italtel in The Business Unit of the section of energy systems. From February 1999 to November 2005 she served as a researcher for the SSD ING-INF/07, at the Department of Electrical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. Since November 2005 she has been Associate Professor in the same scientific field. She is member of ANIPLA for which in the past she served on the Board and co-organized the courses of “Internet and Intranet for automation” (May 2001) and two study days: “Automation for the new electricity market “(September 2001) and ” The measurements, the control and the documentation of the out of service of power supply (regulation, technology and applications) “(February 2002). Since 2006 she has been Senior Member IEEE and the IEEE Student Branch Counselor for the Politecnico di Milano. Since 2007 she has been member of the Scientific Council of the Osservatorio Meteorologico di Milano Duomo and the of the IEC Technical Committee 56.
